A Warrant of Fitness (WOF) is a road safety
visual check which is carried out six monthly or
yearly dependant on age of vehicle. We check that
the vehicle complies with the latest minimum
acceptable standard set by the LTSA.
This check is a visual inspection together with a
brake performance test.
KM Motors requires a minimum of 45 minutes to
carry out a WOF inspection. We prefer you book your
vehicle in and leave with use or ring and book and
say you would like to wait while we inspect.
Vehicles and trailers first registered less than
6 years before the inspection date can be issued a
12-month WOF. All other vehicles are issued a
6-month WOF.
Where a vehicle has a current WOF the expiry date
of the new WOF may be extended by the period
remaining on the current WOF, up to a maximum of 14
days.
Failed vehicles: The owner/operator has up to 28
days to have the vehicle re-inspected without
charge. After this the vehicle must be fully
re-inspected.

includes, visit the LTSA website:

Gas WOF Inspections
We also carry out Gas WOF inspections.
This test is carried out yearly and is important
in the safety of the gas conversion system.
